General Opportunities
| Mentors - Provide one-on-one or group mentorship to at-risk youth in Franklin. Interact at ministry events and demonstrate concern through interest in their school and extra-curricular activities. |
| Drivers - Drivers for 15-passenger vans and possibly small bus (CDL required) to pick up participants and take them home. Needed on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursday evenings and for special events. |
| Guest Speaking and Bible Classes - Share with the group, teach a Bible class (Wednesday) |
| Tutoring and Homework Assistance (Monday) - Tutor a child, read to a child |
| Summer Camp (possible) - Volunteer at camp, help prepare meals, organize activities |
| Recreation Night (Thursday) - Spend time with the kids, participate or supervise the boys in basketball or other activities |
| Arts / Cultural Programs - Organize plays, build props, teach music or art |
| After-School and Summer Programs (to be developed) - Spend time with the kids, help organize activities, prepare meals |
| Christmas Dinner, Shopping & Sharing - Shop with a child at Christmas or help wrap presents or prepare the meal |
| Computer Training - Teach basic computer skills, organize computer projects for the teens |
| Service Projects - Individuals or couples to plan and supervise opportunities for local service projects to be completed by participants |
| Field Trips - Chaperone field trips to sporting events, plays and concerts |
| Job Skills Training - Share a vocational skill with teens that can build a base for post-high school career (i.e. computer skills, welding, plumbing, music production, construction, culinary arts, photography, etc.) |
| Drug Prevention, Anger Management, Abstinence Classes - Teach a class, mentor a child |
| Various Activities - Share your talents! teach our children a special talent (photography, rock climbing, foreign languages, gardening, cooking, gymnastics, etc.) |
| Office Assistance - Data entry, event planning |
| Meal Service - Individuals, couples or groups to help serve meals on Thursday nights, or to prepare and serve on Monday nights. |
| Prayer Warriors - Individuals, couples, or groups to lift up the youth, the volunteers and the leadership of Franktown Open Hearts in prayer to our incredible God. |
| Cleaning - Assist with sweeping, mopping, dusting, washing dishes |
